Monty Saiyed Achievements


Honors and achievements:
Mr Monty Saiyed’s  exuding unflinching patriotism, being an Indian-American here made him create the world's largest Indian flag, weighing 250 kg, as a symbol of peace and harmony in the country. It took 15 days for seven Porbandar tailors, recruited by Mr Saiyed, to sew this cotton flag. The flag which stretches 153 by 102 feet, has found place in Limca Book of Records in April year 2011. Mr Saiyed’s  creation was featured at the two-day Vibrant India event held on July 16 and 17, 2012 with performances from biggest Bollywood actors and singers. Mr Saiyed’s message for creating this flag was clear "The flag is a message of peace and unity. This is an occasion of unity where everybody should stand together and support the cause of the flag and take the honour of it!"





Mr Saiyed is also awarded with Key of Hoffman estates by the Mayor of Hoffman Estates Mr. Bill McLeod as the best promoter in the South Asian Community and for bringing in some of the fantastic and memorable events to Sears Center Arena and hence supporting the business in the city.

The State Of Illinois Senate has also awarded a certificate of recognition to Mr. Monty Saiyed. The 97th General Assembly of the State of Illinois acknowledged Mr Saiyed in recognition of his efforts to unite the American and Indian/Pakistani communities at DESI Fest 2012 in Schaumburg, by presenting the world’s largest Hand-painted mural as a symbol of peace in conjunction with the United Nations International Day of Peace.  He was commended for his devotion to strengthen the ideals of peace, both within and among all the nations and people. The Senate further wished him for great success in all his events.

Sadaf Jaffer :Breaking all barriers

The story of SADAF JAFFER is truly inspirational and has some amazing takeaways. After she became the first south east Asian woman to sworn in as mayor of Montgomery, New Jersey. The Pakistani American has committed herself to social equity and instruction. Brought up in Chicago, Illinois, Jaffer says her parents played an important role in keeping her encouraged throughout her journey. Sadaf Jaffer is a Harvard graduate, mother, activist and five-year resident of Montgomery and now she joins the elite list of historic elections in 2018.
